books in digital format "100 insects easily identifiable" features mostly unknown beings of our fauna

Through this book Lectio , Jaume Sañé unveils the most powerful and abundant species on the planet

Lectio Editions has just published the book 100 insects and other invertebrates easily identifiable by Jaume Sañé, containing a small sample of the unknown beings of our fauna. This work aims to contribute to knowledge about the most powerful and abundant species on the planet.
The book presents only selected 100 species of invertebrates in a million. Among its pages are the most attractive for those who are new to the world of insects: the largest, the most poisonous, the most curious, and those strange behaviors. For Jaume Sañé
insects unfairly treated many times, despite outnumbering any other kind of animal, "are the great unknown, and even discriminated against in our fauna. And no right, especially if we take into account that they are the majority, of beetles, for example, we have about 400,000. Butterfly, 150,000. Nothing to see, for example, with 9000 species of birds that exist. And mammals are still less ... "
In 100 insects are easily identifiable details about the private lives of these animals, which, as noted Sañé, in some cases show that their behavior does not differ much from that of other animals we know more, "in the book are such curiosities that earwigs known cure for their children almost like a hen with chicks do. Other times, also be discovered in insects samples evolutionary intelligence that makes life very powerful ways, such as many stick insects, which reproduce asexually. Females are fertile eggs, of which more females out genetically identical to the mother without male. Cloning, it seems a breakthrough ours, and insects that have long passed. Jaume

Sañé born in Taradell (Osona) on September 11, 1961. Studied biology at the University of Barcelona, \u200b\u200bbut left the race to devote himself to his passion: animals. Through photography and filming nature has toured over 50 countries on five continents. He has worked in Australia, Indonesia, Tanzania, Canada, Iceland and Brazil, but his specialty is the native fauna of Catalonia, which has devoted most of his life.
